Important Security Alert Genesis is warning patients about a nationwide scam.

Scammers are sending emails and text messages that appear to come from MyChart and offer a "MyChart Medicare Kit" or other free health packages. These messages are fraudulent and are not affiliated with Genesis or MyChart. Their goal is to steal personal, financial, or health information.

Please do not click links, respond, or provide personal information. If you receive one of these messages, delete it immediately. If you are unsure whether a message is legitimate, contact the Genesis MyChart Help Desk at (740) 454-5008 before clicking a link or sharing information.

Example of a Common Scam

There are many different ways bad-actors may try to trick you into giving them sensitive information. Currently, one popular way is to pretend you are being sent a free 'Medicare Health Kit'. The screenshots, below, show an example of that.
